Privacy

Seam Room Ltd. (חדר התפר בע״מ), company number 516428372, of 22 Florentin Street, Florentin, Tel Aviv–Yafo, 6608323, is the body that decides why we keep notes about you. In the language of the law, we are the controller of that information (בעל שליטה במאגר).

This notice is written under the Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (חוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ"א-1981), as amended by Amendment No. 13. The Knesset passed that amendment in August 2024. It was published in Sefer HaChukkim No. 3287, page 1430, on 14 August 2024, and it entered into force on 14 August 2025. The notice you are reading is the workshop’s own account of what we do. It is not a circular from the Privacy Protection Authority.

What counts as personal information

Amendment 13 replaced the old word “information” with “personal information”: any data about an identified person, or about a person who can be identified with reasonable effort, directly or indirectly. A name, a phone number, a ticket number tied to a garment, a set of body measurements, and the date of a wedding are all personal information when they are about you. A note that a hem was already stained is personal information too, because it sits on your ticket.

We do not ask for medical records, identity numbers, or political opinions. If you tell us something about your body so that a garment can be cut around it, that sentence is more sensitive than a phone number. We keep it on the paper pattern, not in a list we share, and we do not repeat it on an invoice.

What we actually keep

We keep this in order to do the work, to tell you it is ready, to remember a price we agreed, and to meet ordinary bookkeeping duties. We do not use it to advertise. We do not sell it. We do not hand a list of customers to anyone as a product. Amendment 13 narrowed the old duty to register databases. A file whose purpose is our own work, and not the supply of personal information to others, is not a direct-mail database. We do not register this workshop file as one. If you think a particular note is being used for something else, write to us and we will answer.

WhatsApp and email

If you write to 052-614-8837 on WhatsApp, the message is on our phone and it is also processed by Meta under WhatsApp’s own terms. We are not the controller of Meta’s systems. We copy onto the paper ticket only what we need: garment, job, date, name, phone. We do not need the rest of the chat, and we do not export chats into a marketing tool. An email to desk@tailorme.pro stays in that mailbox for the same purpose.

This website has no account, no order form, and no analytics tool. Visiting a page does not create a customer record. The only storage in the browser is the one cookie described on the cookies page, and only after you accept.

How long

Tickets and tax invoices are kept for seven years, because that is the period we work to for bookkeeping in Israel. Measurements and paper patterns are kept for three years so a second shirt can be cut from the same numbers, unless you ask us to destroy them sooner. If an invoice must keep your name, we can still destroy the measurements and leave the invoice. WhatsApp threads about a finished job are cleared from the shop phone once the garment is collected and the invoice, if any, is written. The paper ticket remains for the seven years.

Your rights, and who to write to

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, and ask for deletion where a tax record does not require us to keep the document. Write to desk@tailorme.pro or by post to Seam Room Ltd., 22 Florentin Street, Florentin, Tel Aviv–Yafo, 6608323. Say the name on the ticket and, if you have it, the ticket number. We will answer in writing.

You may also apply to the Privacy Protection Authority (הרשות להגנת הפרטיות). The Authority publishes its guidance, including the guide to Amendment 13 issued when the amendment took effect on 14 August 2025, at gov.il. Nothing on this page removes a right the statute gives you.

The practical side of the work, including what happens to a garment left more than sixty days, is on the terms page. Those terms are about the cloth. This page is about the notes.
